Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Bangkok meet inside the airport and fast tracked through immigation. Private transfer to the Dusit Thani Hotel

Day 2
Bangkok - Fly Udon Thani
Morning Flight to Udon Thani. Meet by guide and driver and travel north for the first glimpse of the Melong River at the border town of Nongkai. Visit Sala Kaew Koo a surreal impressions park depicting Bhudhist and Hidu images. Time to explore the Indo China Market along the river and perhaps get a bargain or 2 and enjoy lunch at a local restauant with views of the Australian built Friendship bridge crossing to Laos. Afternoon visit Phu Phra Bat historical park view prehistoric rock paintings and rock formations along with
a variety of flora and bird life and views of the surrounding countryside. Check in at the hotel situated downtown Udon.
Evening dinner at Rabieng Patchanee Restaurant.

Day 3
Udon Thani - Nakon Phanom
Travel east to Ban Chiang Museum one of the regions most important historical sites classified by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. The museum offers an outstanding display of artifacts and historical data and the open air excavation site is outstanding. The market outside the museum is interesting and colourful. Lunch Baansuan Swetkamolin a relaxed authentic setting. Visit Ban Kut Na Kham a pottery village that is set up under the Royal Initiative and produces outstanding pottery and crockery. Continue on to Nakon Phanom on the banks of the Mighty Mekong.
Dinner at Chomchol Restaurant. perhaps enjoy a stroll along the river walk back to the hotel

Day 4
Nakon Phanom
Visit Ho Chi Minh’s House were the Vietnamese leader lived for 7 years during the French Occupation of Vietnam. Enjoy and participate in a Bai Si Su Kwain ceremony at a local village. This ceremony is usually only bestowed upon villagers departing for a long journeys wishing them good luck, safe journey and return. Lunch a local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Prathat Phnom temple, the most important temple in this region will give insight into the culture. Enroute back to the hotel enjoy a village walk before relaxing on the banks of the Mekong.

Day 5
Nakon Phanom - Kong Jiam
Drive to Mukdaharn and time in the Indochina market on the river then onto Khong Jiam for lunch on the river restaurant, Araya were the the food is delightful and it is hard to leave. Then by vehicle to Tohsang Khongjiam Resort and to were the "Moon meets the Mekong." The resort is set on the point were the Moon River Flows into the Mekong. Words are hard pressed to describe this place you just have to experience it.l

Day 6
Kong Jiam
Morning visit Kong making village . This village makes all manner of Kongs and drums by hand and the sounds produced are incredible. Continue to Taem Cliff National Park and walk down to view the Pre Historic Rock Paintings dating back 3-4000 years. Enjoy lunch at local a restaurant before returning to Were The Moon Meets The Mekong.

Day 7
Kong Jiam - Korat
Drive to Ubon Ratchathani and visit a quality handicraft shop selling silk products jewelery etc locally made. Visit The Royal Initiative Silk weaving village were you can witness silk fabric being made some so intricate they can only produce 1.5cm-2cm per day. Great bargains to be found. Lunch at a local restaurant enroute to Phanom Rung. Situated on top of an extinct Volcano it was constructed by the Khumer Dynasty in the 12th century and is outstanding. Continue down the hill pass the man made bari to Prasat Muang Tam built in the 10th century with its ponds and exceptional stone carvings. Drive to Korat the second largest populated city in Thailand enjoying the rural scenery and lifestyle enroute.

Day 8
Korat 
Visits to Phimai Historical Park which ranks amongst the grandest and most import Khumer Sites in Thailand. Built in the 11th centry this site was directly linked to Angkor by a road. Continue to Dan Kwian pottery village renowned through out Thailand for its distinctive products. return to Korat for lunch and a brief city orientation tour before arriving back at the hotel.
Afternoon / Evening at leisure. Perhaps visit the night market and one of the many fine resturants and bars.

Day 9
Korat - Khao Yai
A Short Drive to Khao Yai National Park and the PB winery. Enjoy a tour of the vineyard and winery with a tasting before lunch at the wineries restaurant. Continue to the Hotel then have escorted walk in the National Park.
Dinner at Kirimaya Golf Resort Spa in Plantation View room.

Day 10
Khao Yai - Bangkok
Transfer to Bangkok and the Dusit Thani Hotel centrally located with easy access to the Sky train and undergound and with in easy walking distance to some of Bangkok's finest restaurants and the nightlife are of Pat Pong and Silom.
